Your investment helps create stronger communities around children and families.

The need

Children thrive when they grow up in strong, supportive, and resilient communities. While support to individual children and families is critical, lasting change requires investment in the broader community systems that influence children's safety, wellbeing, and development.

Across Eswatini, many communities continue to face challenges such as unemployment, limited economic opportunities, inadequate community infrastructure, weak child protection mechanisms, and restricted access to essential services. These challenges can increase household vulnerability, place children at greater risk of neglect and exploitation, and reduce opportunities for young people to reach their full potential.

Strong communities play a vital role in protecting children, supporting families, and creating environments where children can thrive. Community-based child protection structures help identify and respond to child protection concerns, while economic empowerment initiatives strengthen household resilience and reduce the factors that contribute to family instability and child vulnerability.

Insika Yemmango was established to mobilise Corporate Social Investment (CSI), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), institutional partnerships, and community investment towards sustainable solutions that strengthen communities and improve outcomes for children and families. Through strategic partnerships, the product supports initiatives that enhance child protection systems, promote economic empowerment, improve community infrastructure, and build stronger support networks for vulnerable children and families.

The SiSwati word Insika refers to a pillar or foundation, something strong that provides support and stability. Investing in communities creates lasting change by addressing the root causes of vulnerability and strengthening the systems that support children and families.

Passing the Baton for Future Generations

The baton is in our hands.

What we give today can become opportunity for a child. What we strengthen today can become stability for a family. What we build today can become resilience for a community. And what we pass forward today can help shape the Eswatini our children inherit tomorrow.
